Evelyn Carol Richards, age 74 of Independence, Missouri died Saturday, September 5, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born September 27, 1945 to Heber Austin and Beatrice Bernice Schellenger Rogers in Emporia, Kansas.
Carol is survived by her husband, Merl Ray Richards of Independence, Missouri; two brothers, Paul Rogers and wife Mary of Butler, Missouri and David Rogers and wife Goldie of Nevada, Missouri; one sister, Lois Kennedy of Nevada, Missouri; and two sisters-in-law, Nancy Rogers of Nevada, Missouri and Ruth Weatherman and husband Jim of Independence, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Hubert Rogers; brother-in-law, Alfred Kennedy; sister-in-law, Kathy Rogers; and her niece, Michelle Kennedy.
