Virginia was born on June 7, 1932 to Albert and Naomi (Winchell) Peek in Peculiar, Missouri. She married Harold EK Bailey on March 17, 1950 and to this union they had 10 children. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2006. Virginia stayed busy with raising her children and taking care of the house, but did enjoy the years she spent working at both Potts Ceramics and Little Shirt Factory. In the free time she managed to find, she tended to her 5-acre garden and could be found canning various foods. She also enjoyed fishing, bird watching and cameo painting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Peculiar. She leaves behind a legacy of family, love, and strength and will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
