When officers arrived they were threatened by white male who was waving a knife around. After several attempts to get the subject to put down the knife, he charged at officers in a threatening manner and was shot and killed.
The subject who was shot and killed last night was identified as 35 year old Richard J. Jones of Garden City, Missouri.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and we will updated when more information is made available to us from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
