Camper theft leads to foot chase, arrest

Halloween night around 9:30 pm, Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to Adrian to assist Adrian Police Department on a possible theft from a camper.  On arrival deputies observed a male subject run from the area when they attempted to make contact with him.  The subject was not apprehended.  As Additional deputies arrived they observed a vehicle continue to circle the area where the subject ran.  A traffic stop was initiated on that vehicle where a male subject fled the vehicle on foot also.  That subject was apprehended a short distance later under a storage shed.  The driver of that vehicle was issued multiple citations and his vehicle was towed from the scene.  The male subject that ran from the vehicle was identified as William L Simms, w/m 3/14/1996.  

Simms had a no bond probation parole warrant from Morgan County for Child Endangerment.  Simms was transported to the Bates County Sheriff's Office where he was booked in being held on the Morgan County Warrant.
