Well, all good things must come to an end. A cold front is already through the Metro and has dropped temperatures into the 40s. This front will continue to move southeast this morning...so areas east of KC be prepared the cold is on the way.
The cold front is also bringing showers and thunderstorms to the area. A few of these storms may be strong across central Missouri late this morning into this afternoon. The main threat would be for wind gusts 40 to 50 mph and up to nickel-sized hail.
For #TeamNightShifters do not fret this cold will be short-lived. In fact, after today the rest of the week will return to normal for November with highs in the 50s. And, really, can't we all use a little "normal" right now? Maybe, but we're #TeamNightShift and we just don't do normal very well. So, we will keep our heads held high and keep an eye towards those chances for 60 this weekend.
