Two injured in crash after fleeing from police in Bates County

On 11/26/20 around 1:00am the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies was involved in a pursuit that ended in a crash near the area of FF Highway and CR 11002 in rural Adrian.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the accident occurred when the 2008 Chrysler driven by 49 year old Jeff Kriley of Amoret, Missouri was attempting to flee from the police when he went off the road and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.

Mr. Kriley along with a passenger in his vehicle 28 year old Tori M. Whaley of Washington State both sustained moderate injuries in this accident and both were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of the crash by Adrian Tow. 

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Adrian Police Department, Adrian Fire Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Bates County EMS.
