Obituary - Jo Ann (Agee) Kappel

Jo Ann (Agee) Kappel, 61, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home in Nevada, Missouri, following months of treatment for Cancer. Jo Ann was born August 27, 1959 in Nevada, Missouri, the daughter of Stafford and Judith Agee. She married Randall Kappel of Joplin, Missouri on September 24, 1994, in Joplin. She grew up in Nevada and Kansas City, Missouri, attending Brian and Nevada Jr./Sr. High before moving to Kansas City graduating in 1977, from Hickman Mills High School.

In addition to her husband Randall of the home, survivors include her father, Stafford Agee, of Nevada; daughter Amy Marie Agee and husband Shrivasta Shevada of Webb City, Missouri, Allison and husband David Ware; and three grandchildren; Keerstin, Alivia, and Aiden Ware, all of Granby, Missouri; brother James M. Agee and wife Shannon of Leavenworth, Kansas. In addition, aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention spread all over the US including Alaska and also India.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to either the Vernon County Cancer Society or Heartland Relief, in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
