The Clinton School District is proud to announce it has selected Frankie Jackson as its next Head Boys Basketball Coach. Mr. Jackson will take the helm of the Clinton Cardinals boys basketball team and will also work in the district’s Information Technology (IT) department.
Coach Jackson has spent the last three seasons as the head boys basketball coach at Butler High School. Jackson has also been a coach with Hogan Prep Academy, Harrisonville School District, and the Clinton School District where he began his coaching career in 2006. During Frankie’s 15 years of coaching, he has been a part of 11 district championship games, winning six with four different school districts.
Coach Jackson attended North Central Missouri College and Ottawa University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology degree and was a member of both schools’ basketball programs.
During his time as a student in the Clinton School District, Frankie was a standout student-athlete. In high school he was a part of the 1998 undefeated West Central Conference championship basketball team, the 2000 district championship team, and received All-Area and All-Conference honors in 1998-2000. And in 1999, he qualified for the state track meet and holds the school record in the 4x200 relay team.
The Clinton School District and Clinton community are excited to bring Coach Jackson back to our community to lead our boys basketball program.

Coach Jackson says, “As a kid, I recall my family going to “the pit.” They wouldn’t let me run around while my cousins were playing basketball so I was forced to sit and watch. At the time, I didn’t know what was going on, or what I was watching; I just knew whatever it was, I had to be a part of it. I grew to love the game. Grew to know and love the players along the way. Fast forward 10 years and I’m one of those guys battling it out in the pit. Fast forward another 8 years and I’m the assistant coach in that same gym. Fast forward 12 years and I’m a head coach for that very same community, which is my home.”

Although I’ve played and coached here before, this is a uniquely different stage and I’m excited to meet the new challenges we will face. I’m looking forward to working with the student athletes, district staff, and the community in its entirety.”
