Jim was born November 15, 1949 in Harrisonville, Missouri to Elmer M. Gaug and Winifred (Gresham) Gaug. Jim was a graduate of Harrisonville High School. Jim married Jo Ann Van Gorkin in 1967 and to this union were born two children: Belinda and James Bradley Gaug. In 2002, Jim married Brenda Richardson. He was a dry wall contractor and self-employed sheet rock and construction worker most of his life. Jim enjoyed motorcycles and truck pulling.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Belinda Gaug; and brother-in-law, Darrel Cowan. He is survived by his son, James Bradley of Harrisonville, MO; brother, Elmer M. Gaug, Jr. (Martha) of Meadville, MO; sister, Alma Cowan of Raymore, MO; nephew, John Gaug (Shelby) and family of Vandalia, MO; two nieces: Ruth Berends (David) and family of Peculiar, MO, and Mary Ann Taylor (Tim) and family of Ft. Worth, TX; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and two step-daughters.
