Obituary - Lisa Ann (Weant) Jacobs

The funeral service for Lisa will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri.

Officiating at the service will be Pastor Sonny Rosbrugh.

Visitation will be at the Hill & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021.

Interment will follow the service in Taberville Cemetery, Taberville, Missouri. The family suggests any memorial donations be made to Heartland Hospice.

Lisa Ann (Weant) Jacobs was born on November 26,1962 the daughter of Norman Lee and Betty Dell (Waters) Weant. She passed away peacefully at her home near Taberville, Missouri, after a courageous battle with cancer, on June 6, 2021, age 58. Lisa grew up in the Appleton City area, where she graduated from Appleton City High School in 1981. Shortly after graduation, Lisa began a long and passionate career in nursing, completing her CMT, LPN, RN, and Licensed Administrator certificates.

Lisa married Steve Koshko on August 1, 1984 and to this union two children were born: Beth and Steve. She then met Kevin Jacobs in 2001, and they were married on October 9, 2012, her husband of nine years. Her family was the most important thing in her life, especially her grandchildren. Apart from this, Lisa enjoyed her nursing career, transforming many lives through her compassionate care. She spent many happy hours working in her yard and garden, and especially loved her flowers. She cherished being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and anything in nature. Lisa dearly loved her animals, which included deer, squirrels, goats, and especially her dogs, who were her constant companions. She will be deeply missed by her many family and friends.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Lee and Betty Dell (Waters) Weant; her step-father, Howard Hutchins; and a nephew, Brett Handley; her grandparents: Ted and Louise Waters and Rusty and Marie Weant.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Jacobs; two children: Beth (Travis) Oehring and Steve Koshko; stepsons: Walt and Broc (Nicole Keith) Koshko, and Dominic Jacobs; grandchildren: Hunter, Braxton, Cale Oehring and Maddox Koshko; one sister, Teddi (Mike) Handley; nieces: Tiffany (Kyle) Poole and Erika Handley; along with many good friends.
