Earlier this year, the city of Adrian Mo. agreed to sell the Adrian Manor and Crystal Manor facilities following the closure of both earlier this year due to financial hardship. The buyer, Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries, agreed to a purchase price of $15,001.00 plus bills due, which were estimated to be in the $90,000 range. In the months that followed that agreement, it was discovered there were some discrepancies which included COVID related costs that the city will be reimbursed for at some point. The council held a public meeting July 19th to decide how to adjust the amount of bills the new owner will be required to pay- which now will be approximately $27,000.00 plus the original purchase price of $15,001.00.
The new owner is hoping to have the facilities reopened later this year.
