Hume Fair kicks off next week

Haygen Austin

Like many other events that suffered last year, the Hume Fair is coming back better than ever this year with a fun-filled week that begins next Tuesday, August 3rd and runs through Saturday August 7th. Let's meet the fair and rodeo candidates, in their own words:

Hi, my name is Haygen Austin, Son of Hannah and Ryan Austin.  I am 5 years old and I am running for Prince for the Hume Fair 2021.  I love being outside, swimming, playing baseball, hanging out with friends and riding my bike! I am fun and outgoing with a big heart!  I will be around selling you tickets! Love, Haygen Austin

Logan Gwinn
My name is Logan E. Gwinn. I am 5 years old, my parents are Ronnie and Vicki Gwinn, I have 2 sisters Kaylee and Veronica and one Brother, Ean. We live in Hume, MO! I enjoy getting dirty! Mom is always telling me "don't get dirty". But I do not listen! I may be a little defiant. I also enjoy playing with trucks, hot wheels, riding the four wheeler, going to sports games, the races, riding my bike, and playing with my animals! I am so excited to run for Hume Prince this year! If you are interested in buying a raffle ticket on a chance to win some prizes they are $1 each. Please let my Mom or Dad know.

Tiler Yarbrough

She is the granddaughter of Joe and Tracy Yarbrough and Craig and Lisa Sumner. She loves to play basketball and softball, she enjoys riding her horse, spending lots of time in the pool. Autumn Smith

My name is Autumn R. Smith. I am 15 years old, my Mom is Heather Bolton and my Dad is Nick Smith. The things I enjoy most are playing softball and basketball as my second option, riding the ranger with Talya, sleeping as well, and wearing good clothes outside even with Kenya telling me not to get them dirty, but somehow it always ends up happening. I'm excited to run for the 2021 Hume Rodeo Queen this year! If you would like to buy colt tickets or rodeo tickets you can message me at 417-321-7508. Thank you.

Amelia Brooks

Hello, my name is Amelia Brooks, but you can call me Mia.  I am running for the 2021 Hume Fair Princess.  I am 9 years old.  My parents are Clayton and Brittney Brooks.  I am the oldest of two siblings, Cohen and Everly Joy.  I live in Hume and will be in the 4th grade at Hume Elementary.  This summer I've enjoyed playing softball.  I love cats, music and rollerblading.  My favorite thing about the Hume Fair is watching the Rodeo Queen, barrel racing, the National Anthem, and bucking bulls.
