Juanita was born in Dana, Illinois on May 2, 1924 to Lewis Tucker and Ruth M. (Durban) Tucker. Juanita was a woman of strong Baptist faith throughout her life. She was joined in marriage with her late husband Harold Lester Baggerly in Ottawa, Illinois, on September 25, 1944, and together they were blessed with one son. Having many brothers and sisters of her own, family was such an important part of Juanita’s life, and she loved being a Grandma. For many years, Juanita and Harold were members of and faithfully attended services at the First Baptist Church of Raymore (now Faith Baptist Church). Each, having their own bible, Juanita had read hers from cover to cover multiple times. In life Juanita also enjoyed reading, gardening, and fishing (often out-catching all who were with her). But most of all, she loved to cook for others and often said she would have loved to have been a chef.
Juanita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Baggerly; parents, Lewis and Ruth Tucker; three brothers, Louis Eugene Tucker, Wayne Tucker, and David Tucker, sister, Lois Reynolds; and two brothers in law, Merle Hayes and Orris Reynolds.
She is survived by her son, Louis Gene Baggerly and daughter-in-law, Teresa; sister, Marilyn Hayes; four grandchildren, Shawna Baggerly (Brandon), Tonya Carter (Brian), Louis Tucker Baggerly (Haley), and Nathaniel Gene Baggerly; and eleven great grandchildren.
Juanita was always smiling and was a source of joy for those lucky enough to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or Faith Baptist Church (414 S Franklin ST, Raymore, MO 64083).
