On Saturday, September 11, the Bates County Memorial
Hospital’s EMS team will host a flag-lowering ceremony at the hospital’s north
entrance flagpole starting at 7:46 am to observe the 20th anniversary of
9/11/01, or Patriot Day.
All are welcome to attend. The BCMH EMS team extends a
special invitation to all local veterans who wish to attend. Local first
responders who are able to will attend will be recognized on behalf of the
fallen.
The brief ceremony will include a scheduled flyover by
LifeFlight Eagle, and BCMH CEO Greg Weaver will speak.
Those who attend are encouraged to keep a physical distance,
and to wear a mask where social distancing is not possible.
