The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the when the 2012 Harley Davidson driven by 48 year old Ira Parnell Toshavik of Gardner, Kansas failed to negotiate a right hand curve and crossed over the center line and struck the 1998 Ford driven by 38 year old Kittie Fowler of Ft. Scott Kansas ejecting him off the motorcycle.
Mr. Toshavik was pronounced dead at Ascension Via Christi-Fort Scott Hospital. Toshavik was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.
