On 1/17 around 8pm the Butler Police Department gave chase of 29 year old Ty L. Reichardt after he fled from the scene of the disturbance on North Maple Street.
Officers lost sight of Reichardt and then soon located him again parked on the side of the road at N Business 49 and CR 5004 (Airport Road). At that point the Butler officer contacted Reichardt and he exited the vehicle with an axe.
Officers deescalated the situation and used a taser to subdue Mr. Reinhart who was taken into custody and transported to the Bates County Sheriffs Office.
