Allen was born March 25, 1928 in Belton, MO, a son of Andrew and Louie Lee (Harper) Runyon. He married Joyce Arlene Kinnison on September 1, 1949. He had lived in Belton, MO and Freeman, MO for over 40 years before moving to Adrian in 1988.
Allen was a farmer and a cattleman. He also worked for RED Construction in Greenwood, MO. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joyce on October 29, 2021, one brother and six sisters, one son-in-law, Ed Hughes, and one grandson, Jake Farr. He is survived by one son, Allen “Pete” Runyon, Adrian, MO; three daughters, Kathy Hughes, Lee’s Summit, MO, Diane Goode (Dave), Lone Jack, MO, and Marsha Farr (Shane), Independence, MO; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
