Carl was employed as a law enforcement officer for the City of Warsaw and the Benton County Sherriff’s Department for twenty-six years. He was a member of the Warsaw Shrine Club and was actively involved for many years. He also was a member of the VFW and served his country in the United States Navy from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1964.
He is survived by his wife Michelle Ireland, of the home, his daughter, Tiffany Lanier, of Kansas City, Kansas, four sons; Jared Reeves and his wife Angie, of Lincoln, Missouri, Joseph Ireland, of Racket, Missouri, Dale Whitfield, of Clinton and Robert Atkins, of Clinton, a sister Bertha “Toots” Beaudoin, of Chicago, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his wife Anita, on July 7, 2016, his parents, one brother and a sister.
Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. Memorial services and military rites will be held by the family at a later date.
