The Pursuit continued into Vernon County and exited off the interstate at the Walker exit. The pursuit traveled gravel roads west of the interstate before turning back toward the interstate.
Vernon County Sheriff's Office arrived in the area to assist in the pursuit. The pursuit made it back to the interstate where it became northbound on I49. Just south of the TT overpass a Bates County Deputy deployed the Grapple system that brought the vehicle to a stop in the middle of the highway.
The K9 handler and the K9 exited the vehicle to began to take the driver into custody. The driver of the truck continued to try to drive away from the deputies while attached to the Grapple System at which point Sheriff Anderson crossed the median striking the front of the truck to pin the truck in its spot.
With the assistance of K9 Falco, the Driver and passenger were taken into custody.

The Driver of the truck was identified as Michael W. Trinkle 8/9/1983 of LaCygne Kansas was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest. Bond was set at $50,000 cash.
Additional charges are being reviewed by the Bates County Prosecutor's Office for potential property damage and assault on a law enforcement officer.
