He grew up in North Kansas City and graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1969. He served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1977. He battled the effects of Agent Orange from his time in the Vietnam War including PTSD, arthritis, heart and kidney damage and many others for many years.
Phillip always was positive and loved to fish, sing, ride his motorcycle and spend a lot of time with family and friends. He retired to Warsaw, Missouri in 2011, after spending many years in the Kansas City Grandview area working apartment maintenance and security.
On October 1, 2011 he was united in marriage to Deborah A. McReynolds. Phil was a member of the American Legion Post #217 in Warsaw, Missouri and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3667 in Clinton, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents Phillip and Edna Bosley, his wife Nanette Bosley, a son James Hagsten and a sister, Mary Levell.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah A. Bosley, three biological children; Corinne Bosley, of Sequin, Texas, Sarah Watkins, of Oklahoma and Lisa Bosley, of Kansas City, Kansas. He and his previous wife, Nanette raised three children as their own; Destiny Butler, Patrick Clevenger and Sam Clevenger. He was a bonus father to Cassandra Wisell, and her husband Tim, of Warsaw, Missouri, Megan Mears, and her husband Rick, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Aaron Curtis, of Warsaw, Missouri and Pamela Parkhurst, and her husband Bradley, of Raymore, Missouri. He is also survived by three sisters; Carol Lee, of Kansas City, Missouri, Judith Mayes, of Kansas City, Missouri and Patricia Clevenger, of Butler, Missouri, numerous other relatives and many grandchildren. All of which he loved dearly and they to him.
A Celebration of Life for Phillip Bosley will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Church of Living Water near Warsaw. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the celebration of life from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
Interment and Military Rites will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri. A procession led by the Patriot Guard from the church to the cemetery will occur.
Following the graveside service a dinner and karaoke will be hosted by the Eagles Aerie 3667 in Clinton, Missouri.
He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and Harley Davidson fan. To no surprise the theme will be any or all of those three. Please, no formal attire.
