Sharon “Cookie” Cox, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at her son’s home in Orange City, Florida at the age of 77 years.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. Friends are invited to join the family for food and fellowship following the graveside service from 4:00-6:00PM at the Hampton Inn, Clinton.

Cookie was born on January 6th, 1945, in Clinton, Missouri to Rolla and Edna Bradley. She married Dean Cox in November of 1961. She completed Clinton Senior High School in 1963. They raised two children, Marty, and Mike in Clinton. In 1988, she moved to Warrenton, Missouri where she lived for 34 years.
She enjoyed spending time at lake Pomme de Terre where the family spent many summers. She was an avid bowler and loved spending time with her children at the lake, with boy scouts, at baseball games, and every school event. She enjoyed living a life of faith. One of her favorite sayings was “Lord Keep Your Arm Around My Shoulder and Your Hand Over My Mouth”.
Cookie is preceded in death by her parents Rolla and Edna Bradley, her husband Dean (2004), her son Marty (2018), her daughter Mary Edna (1965), grandson Casey Michael (1998), three sisters, Rollene Spackler Freeman (2021), Helen Howell (1990) and Midge Schmidt (2019)
One sister survives her: Betty Jo Hunter, one son, Michael Cox, and wife Valerie, four grandchildren, Haley Cox, Sara McCue and wife Christine, Nikki Preis and husband Dean, and Tiffany Cox, six great-grandchildren, Darcy Preis, Alexa Preis, Elijah Preis, Isabella Preis, Mia McCue, and Austin Green.
