He was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a sport enthusiast, enjoying the Chiefs, Royals, Sooner Football and KU Basketball. He also liked classic rock and roll music.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Vicki Hopkins. Thomas is survived by six brothers, Michale, James, Daniel, Timothy, John and Dennis Burke, and a sister Mary Aspenson.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date. Contributions are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital.
