| Eleven ladies with the Daughters of Union Veterans, Louisa Volker Macklind Tent 24, visited the Bates County Museum today. We then enjoyed lunch at The Pennell and afterwards went to the Battle of Island Mound State Historic Site. These ladies came from Topeka and Olathe, Kansas and in Missouri from Gladstone, KC, Blue Springs, Raymore, Harrisonville, - and Lake Waukomis . It was a joy to host them and spend the day together.    |
