Update: Two vehicle accident in rural Butler this morning

On September 13th around 6:00 a.m. the Butler Fire Department along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident at Missouri 52 east Highway and CR NE 1003 (South Main Street) in Butler.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when then 2008 Peterbilt driven by 21 year old Dustin M. Mehrhoff of Franklin, Missouri was backing onto CR NE 1003 when he was struck by a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country driven by 67 year Mark D. Witten of Appleton City, Missouri.

Mr. Witten sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
