Deputies pursued the vehicle north on Interstate 49 from Harrisonville. Peculiar and Belton Police Departments assisted with tire deflation devices, however the driver avoided the devices and swerved at the assisting officers.
Deputies used a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) that caused the suspect’s vehicle to skid and overturn on the highway. The driver was taken into custody without further incident.
The driver is identified as James E. Dean Jr. 43, of Cleveland, MO. He was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. James E. Dean Jr. is wanted on a Cass County Felony Probation Violation for Resisting Arrest, bond in that case is set at $10,000 Cash Only.
Charges related to the incident today are pending.
