BCSO special guest at Butler Lions Club meeting today

Bates County Sheriff's Office Captain Justin Corbin and K9 Griff was the guest speaker at the Butler Lions Club today. Captain Corbin gave a brief history about Griff and what he is trained in. 

He gave a demonstration of police dog obedience. Griff is a 21 month old German Shepard imported from Czechoslovakia. Griff is trained in drug odor detection, apprehension, article search and tracking. 

Captain Corbin and Griff completed 6 weeks of training and was recently certified at the Missouri Police Canine Association Conference.
