From the Lamar Fire Department

Good evening, sorry for the late post but last Thursday the Lamar Fire Department responded to the south end of town to a reported dust explosion.

When we arrived it was apparent that one of the auger legs had been damaged by the explosion and that resulted in a bin of saw dust smoldering.

We emptied the bin of remaining dust and extinguished it. No injuries were reported.
