David was born on September 21, 1946 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Vern E. and Pearl J. (Anderson) Reed. He grew up in Iowa, graduating from Webster County High School in Burnside, Iowa. He then went on to study at Iowa Central Community College prior to beginning his work career. David was married to Lisa Senior on April 17th, 1987. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a District Sales Manager for many years in Iowa, but moved to Missouri in 1986 opening his business, Dave's Install Service, and owned and operated this business for the next 25 years in the Kansas City market.
David enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on his property, and running his business, as well as, helping others throughout the community. In his down time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and had a tremendous love for his dogs, Mia and Hocus.
David is preceded in death by his parents and his son, William "Charlie" Villanueva. He is survived by his wife, Lisa; his children: David Reed, Jr. (Jerrilyn) of Urbandale, IA; Larry Reed of Des Moines, IA; Pedro Villanueva (Sarah) of Bonner Springs, KS; his grandchildren: Anthony Reed, Jared Reed, Danielle Reed, Brandon Reed, all of Des Moines, IA; and Sophia and Nolan Villanueva of Bonner Springs, KS; great-granddaughters, Rylee and Haylee Reed of Des Moines, IA; and his brother, Donald Reed (Jean) of Abilene, KS.
