Public Service Announcement: Scam Alert from the County Commissioners Office

The following spam message has been circulating throughout multiple township board members in Bates County. 

We have spoke with several people who have received this message claiming to be the from the office of Bates County Presiding Commissioner Jim Wheatley. 

In the message the spammer is asking for gift cards to "members" this is spam and this should be deleted. The phone number is listed below as well. 

The Bates County Clerks Office has reported this scam to the Bates County Sheriff's Office and Bates County Prosecutors Office for further review.
