James Lloyd “Jimmy” Williams, age 73, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Post Acute Nursing and Rehab Center, in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on December 6, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas the son of Harold Williams and Evelyn (Mathewson) Williams.
Jimmy joined the United States Army in the late 60’s at the young age of 17. He served both in Korea and Vietnam. Upon his return he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve. He then went to college studying communications, and while taking some art classes found his passion in stained glass. From that point on his life revolved around creating beautiful artwork with stained glass. Jimmy entered some of his stained glass, in the Art Exhibit Contest at the Warsaw Heritage days and won first place several years in a row.
James is preceded in death by his father, Harold Williams and his brother Gary Williams.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Williams, of Lincoln, Missouri, two daughters; Allison Williams, of Tampa Florida, Azure Williams, of Warsaw, Missouri, a brother, Jerry Williams, of Wichita, Kansas, two grandchildren; Rynleigh Davis, of Warsaw, Missouri and Brody Biondi, of Tampa, Florida, other relatives and friends.
Jimmy was deeply loved by his family and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
