A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to J.W. Yewell's Family and can be left in care of the funeral home.
JW Yewell was born on January 26, 1958 in Denver, Colorado. JW graduated from Clinton High School in 1976 and served in the US Air Force from 1976 until 1994. After that he worked as a Safety Director and driver for Clinton Redi Mix, retiring in 2020. While in the military he was a missileer, working on the minuteman 2 and 3 missiles and peacekeeping maintainer.
Family was always foremost to him. He had a lifelong love for riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. JW loved camping with family and friends and had a love of animals.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elvin and Kathleen Scarbrough and his brother Jackie Sutton.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years Cindy Yewell, his six children; Cyndi (Scott) Fleming living in Belgum, Melanie (Josh) Signorelli of Lompoc, California, Travis (Sam) Yewell of Sedalia, Missouri, Shelly (Tim) Maki of Chisholm, Minnesota, Mary (Matt) McFarlane of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Jenny of Shelby Township, Michigan, his three siblings; Lillian (Cecil)Shehorn, Rick (Dixie) Collins, Bill (Robin) Jolly, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
