Services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, Missouri 64012. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. Larry’s remains will be inurned at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
Larry was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 4, 1943 to A.J. Rhodes and Marjorie (Dempsy) Rhodes. After graduating high school, Larry honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was joined in marriage with his loving wife, Karen M. (Storm) and their union was blessed with son, Jimmy. In life, Larry often enjoyed working on cars as he would build them for car shows, woodworking, general mechanical work, and gardening.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Marjorie Rhodes; and two sisters, Jan Sturnicker and Connie Sleed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Karen Rhodes; son, Jimmy Rhodes; four grandchildren, Kiana Allen, Kody Rhodes, A.J. Rhodes, and Addie Rhodes; and five great grandchildren, Rylan, Cora, Axel, Sutton, and Delanie.
