Myrna Loy (Harleman) Stokes, age 80, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Appleton City, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Villa Maria Care Center in Tucson. She was born November 12, 1942, in Appleton City, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde and Cecil Arlene (Hill) Harleman.
Myrna Loy graduated from Appleton City High School, class of 1960. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Stokes, on June 16, 1976. She attended Oklahoma State University School of Technical Training in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where she received an associate degree in culinary arts in 1986. Myrna Loy loved cooking, shopping, and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Harleman and Arlene Harleman, her son, Kevin King. Myrna Loy is survived by her children and grandchildren, Derrick Drake of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and his two sons, Gary and Cody: Brenda (Linhart) Davis and George of Tucson, Arizona, their three children, Dallas, Brittni and Zachary and finally Brian Linhart of Tucson, Arizona and his daughter, Madeline. In addition to her children, Myrna Loy is survived by her brother, Roy Harleman of Versailles, Missouri, her sisters, Peggi (Harleman) Sargent & Steve of Versailles, Missouri, and Holly (Harleman) Martin of Moberly, Missouri, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service for Myrna will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Hill & Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, MO.
Visitation will precede the service from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, rural Butler, MO.
