Two Butler Bears Varsity Baseball Pitchers Rally Together In Shutout Victory Against El Dorado Springs

The Butler Bears Varsity baseball team defeated El Dorado Springs 5-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jake Chandler struck out number #11 to win the game.

The Bears got on the board in the second inning, when Brandon Hammett was struck by a pitch, scoring one run. A bright spot for El Dorado was a single by Ewert in the first inning.

Maddox Fennewald got the start for the Bears. The pitcher allowed four hits and zero runs over six and a third innings, striking out eleven. Burley went one inning, allowing three runs on one hit, striking out two and walking one.

K Burley and Ewert entered the game out of the bullpen, throwing five innings and one inning respectively. 

The Bears collected seven hits on the day. Chandler and Bryson Kash each collected multiple hits for the Bears.
