The Butler Bears Varsity Baseball team got things moving in the first inning of this mornings game against Warsaw. Butler Senior Zayn Carson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Warsaw pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Kendall Bagley doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring the Wildcats two runs and Nick Bagley doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Garrett Ferguson led things off on the hill for Warsaw. The fireballer allowed two hits and two runs over two and two-thirds inning, striking out four.
Butler Junior Maddox Fennewald was on the mound for the Bears today. The pitcher lasted six and two-thirds innings allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out eight. Fennewald also let the bears with two hits in five at bats. Nick Bagley went 3-4 at the plate and led the Warsaw Wildcats in hits.
Butler will host the Sherwood Marksmen for Senior Night tomorrow at home.. This will be the Burgers and Baseball event that is sponsored by the Give Fore Living. Everyone is welcome to come out and attend.
