On Thursday evening investigators with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of North Independence St. in Harrisonville related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
The investigation, launched in response to credible tips, underscored the commitment of our law enforcement agencies to act swiftly and decisively in the face of such abhorrent crimes.
During the search investigators discovered an improvised explosive device inside the residence. The Kansas City Missouri Police Bomb and Arson Unit responded to the scene and recovered the device. Detectives seized evidence from the apartment and arrested Rusty Wade Fisher Jr, 31, of Harrisonville.
Today the Cass County Prosecuting Attorney charged Rusty Fisher Jr with 11 counts of Possession Of Child Pornography 2nd / Subsequent Offense Or Possess More Than 20 Pictures / One Film/Videotape, Class B Felony. The judge in the case has ordered Fisher held without bond.
