Mallory Ann-Louise Taylor is the 16-year-old daughter of Jeff and Lee Taylor of Butler. This fall Mallory will be starting her Senior year at Butler High School. Inside of school she is a Football Cheerleader, the 2nd Vice President of the Butler FFA Chapter, the Interact President, the FCCLA Historian, a wrestling manager, the treasurer for Student Council, and a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school, she is involved in the Bates County Jr. Livestock Committee, showing Beef Cattle, and a member of the Shady Dell 4-H Club where she holds the office of President. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, and working with her show heifers.
This summer she plans to attend the Missouri Girls State Conference in St. Louis. Mallory has grown to have a passion for the Agriculture Industry, especially when it comes to Beef Cattle Production. Mallory has been a part of the fair since she was a small child. She encourages all of Bates County and surrounding counties to come visit the Bates County Fair this year. She would like the community to see the exhibitors and their projects and/or livestock animals. They all have put in many hours of hard work. Mallory will be selling raffle tickets for $1 apiece. Prizes for the raffle will be as follows 1st Prize-$500, 2nd Prize-$300, and 3rd Prize-$200.
Money raised by the Queen and the Princess will be used for continuing improvements to the Fair Grounds and the daily operations during future Fairs. The drawing for the raffle will be held on Friday July 14th during the Junior Livestock Sale.
You do not need to be present for the drawing. Mallory will also be selling advanced tickets for the Kickin’ Chicken Dinner (Robert Perryman) that will be held during the Fair on July 12th from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Advanced tickets are $12 and $15 at the door.
