Fire at McDonalds in Lamar

The Lamar Fire Department reports they were called at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday for a fire at the McDonald's. 

When firefighters arrived on scene there was a fire inside the southwest wall of the building. Crews opened the wall and were able to extinguish the fire with minimal damage.

The fire was reported by an assistant manager after it closed; no injuries were reported

The fire department was assisted by the City of Lamar Electric Department with the use of the bucket truck.
