Obituary - Sharon Kay (French) Huskisson

Sharon Kay (French) Huskisson was born on April 10, 1945, the daughter of Aaron William and Ada Catherine (Smith) French. She passed away peacefully at her home on June 27, 2023, age 78. She grew up in the Kansas City area, where she attended school.

Shortly after completing her education, she met and married Cliff Huskisson on May 14, 1979. They shared three wonderful children: Lee, Rebecca, and Shari. Sharon worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist at Channel 41 News most of her life. She dearly enjoyed dancing, shopping, and camping. Sharon loved her family. She had a special gift of encouraging and showering in love those around her. Additionally, she had an inner light that helped guide and raise up her family and friends through many crises during her life. Sharon also had a deep faith in God that led her that she passed on to her family. “I give you thanks, O LORD, with all my heart; I will sing your praises before the gods. I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness” (Psalm 138:1-2).

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron William and Ada Catherine (Smith) French; a sister, Brenda McFall.

She is survived by her husband Cliff Huskisson; her three children: Lee Shipman, Rebecca (Mike Schooley) Good, and Shari (Larry) Townsel; one brother, Garland French; grandchildren: Dustin (Mellissa) Good, Allen (Jay) Davis, Coty McFarlin; two great-granddaughters, Brayleigh Good and Tensile McFarlin; along with many extended family and good friends. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
