Work is well underway for a new pump station for wetland and lake renovations at the Schell-Osage Conservation Area. Road access to the construction site has also been improved by the contractor.
The $6.4 million pump station project is the first phase of three for renovations that will improve water control benefiting wildlife and fish habitat.
