Steve spent his childhood and young adult years in Bluefield, West Virginia before settling in Christiansburg, Virginia where he married the love of his life Myra in 1971. He recently moved to Tightwad, Missouri to be closer to his children.
Steve worked many years for the Virginia Highway Department, Radford Arsenal and Tetra where he retired in August 2016. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his time in the outdoors on Craigs Creek. He especially loved sharing his love of nature with his children and grandchildren. He was incredibly kind and generous in his life and continued his selfless generosity by donating his organs so others could live a healthy and full life as well.

He never met a stranger and enjoyed his trips to the Amish Market auctions for his favorite pies and fresh produce that he and Myra would spend hours turning into delicious meals. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, could fix anything that was broken and took great joy and pride in teaching his sons these same skills.
