Funeral services for Wilbur Lee Nichols of Butler, Missouri will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri.

Wilbur Lee Nichols, age 90 of Butler, Missouri died Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Medicalodge Nursing and Rehab in Butler, Missouri. He was born October 4, 1932 to Orville Nathan and Bertha Marie Barker Nichols in Appleton City, Missouri.

Wilbur is survived by his wife, Barbara Nichols of Clinton, Missouri; two sons, James “Jim” Nichols and wife Ashlee of Edmond, Oklahoma and Thomas “Tom” Nichols of Butler, Missouri; a daughter, Linda Davis and husband John of Kingsville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ryan Nichols and wife Zonia, Erin Wilson and husband Randy, Tyler Davis and wife Valerie, Cory Davis and wife Deanna, and Kelsey Carter and husband David; nine great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Jeff Wyatt and significant other Val of Stockton, Missouri, Linda Clay, Sheryl Long and Dana Wyatt and significant other Dan Spring all of Clinton, Missouri; two step-grandchildren, Eric Clay and significant other Kim and Hunter Wyatt and significant other Cherokee; a brother, Eugene Nichols and wife Nancy of St. Charles, Missouri; and five sisters, Delores Bracher of Rockville, Missouri, Ellen Higgins and husband Kent of Montrose, Missouri, Beulah Conner, Geraldine Brownsberger and husband Bill and Connie Mott all of Appleton City, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Nichols; a daughter, Jeanne Nichols; a brother, Glenn Nichols; and a sister, Marie Brown.
