Two injured in Cass County collision

On Wednesday July 27th around 8:10 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies and EMS responded to a accident on I-49 at the 149 mile marker in Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred a 1999 GMC truck heading southbound ran out of gas and stopped in the right lane, and a southbound 2013 Chevrolet truck driven by a 16 year old juvenile male from Adrian attempted to avoid the GMC, but was unsuccessful and struck the vehicle. After impact both vehicles overturned.

An occupant in the stopped GMC, 29 year old Dylan Warren of Butler, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Bates County Memorial Hospital.
