Services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd., Belton, Missouri 64012. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
Jack was born at home in Johnson County, Texas on May 19, 1941 to J.D. Ledbetter and Vivian Odell (Louis) Ledbetter. Jack graduated high school and soon after was joined in marriage with his late wife, Alice (Gray) Ledbetter on December 21, 1960. Their union was blessed with three children. Jack and Alice were faithful and active members of South Haven Baptist Church in Belton. Jack especially enjoyed gospel music and attending his Sunday School class, “Joyful Encouragers.” In life, Jack also enjoyed gardening and golfing.
Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of over fifty seven years, Alice Ledbetter; parents, J.D. and Vivian Ledbetter; daughter, Patricia Ledbetter; grandson, Shawn Bean; and brother, Ricky Ledbetter.
Cherishing Jack’s memory are his two daughters, Pam Bean (Mike) and Donna Sumner (Patrick); brother, Charley Ledbetter (Jerry); two sisters, Mary Boyd (Skeet) and Georgia Jones; two grandchildren, Jade Bean and Chris Sumner (Amber); and great grandchild, Rhys Sumner.
