On Saturday October 7th, Butler sophomore Brandon Hammett became the first athlete in Bears cross country history to win the home meet.
Going into the race as the three seed, Hammett ran away from the pack early, outpacing his nearest competitor by 17 seconds and running a school record time of 16:49.
This marks Hammett's third win of the season.
