Kansas City man arrested after fleeing police in Bates County

On October 12th around 2:43 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 57 year old John E. Morris of Kansas City, Missouri.

Mr. Morris was arrested after he fled from Troopers on Wednesday morning. Morris fled his vehicle and ran into a wooded area near the Butler City Lake. 

He was arrested today just west and north of the city lake this afternoon. Morris was charged with the following charges.

1.) Felony Fleeing
2.) Felony Benton County Arkansas Sheriff's Office Warrant
3.) Felony Linn County Kansas Sheriff's Office Warrant
4.) Misdemeanor Cass County Sheriff's Office Warrant 
5.) Failure to display valid plates
6.) Failure to yield to emergency vehicle with lights and sirens active
7.) Failure to signal
8.) Failure to stop at a stop sign
9.) No Seatbelt
10.) Littering 
11.) Driving the wrong direction on a divided highway
12.) Careless and Imprudent Driving 
13.) Abandoned Motor Vehicle
14.) Driving While Suspended 

Mr. Morris was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and he is currently listed as bondable.
