Services will be held at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will be on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Services will conclude with United States Marine Corps Military Honors.
Butch was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 23, 1962 to Luther Earl Gregg and Claralu Ruth (Mittlestadt) Gregg. After graduating high school, Butch furthered his education briefly before enlisting the United States Marine Corps in August, 1986 and retiring at the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant (E9) in February, 2010. He was joined in marriage with his wife, Vicki (Adams) on June 20 1987. Their union was blessed with two children, Michael Jr. and Stormi.
Butch held a black belt in Karate, he was an expert with the rifle and pistol during his time in the Marine Corps, while also having much respect for other firearms. During his time on active service, Butch supported the Marine Corps and the Marines he served with and loved during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and the Global War on Terrorism. He was an expert seamstress, often creating period accurate costumes for others at Renaissance Festivals, another great passion of his, which he would often attend in various states. He had a love of baking, with pies being his favorite to create from scratch.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Claralu Gregg.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Gregg; two children, Michael Gregg Jr. (Sarah) and Stormi Gregg; sister, Kellie Gregg; and two cats, Cleo and Zeus.
