Rockville woman escapes serious injuries after accident in Bates County

On October 11th around 4:00 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on P Highway at SW CR 5576 in rural Bates County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the westbound 1996 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 30 year old Cherokee D. McKown of Rockville, Missouri traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment.

Cherokee D. McKown sustained minor injuries and she refused medical treatment. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by Bulldog Towing of Appleton City, Missouri.
