Butler man escapes serious injury in Bates County crash

On Tuesday January 9th around 10:00 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Ellett Memorial Hospital EMS and Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on H Highway just west of KK Highway neat the county line.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the westbound 2008 Toyota Highlander driven by 56 year old Michael N. Ruff of Butler, Missouri lost control on the wet roadway and struck and fence and ditch.

Mr. Ruff sustained minor injuries and he was transported by ambulance to the Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment.
