After midnight the wintry mix south will change over to light freezing rain or freezing drizzle before chance over to all snow in the morning. Further north where precipitation is expected to be mainly snow, accumulation will range from 2-6 inches with the heaviest amounts across extreme northwest Missouri.
Further south where the wintry mix will occur snow totals will be limited to generally less than an inch with the chance for a light glaze of ice with the freezing rain/drizzle. Be sure to monitor road conditions if you are making a Friday morning commute.
